missing or corrupt

i am getting the follow errors on my tecra 8100

The following files is missing or corrupt

system32\drivers\pci.sys

i try to goto the windows repair console and i am getting either error code
4 or 7 consistantly.

i have data on that drive that i need so a reinstall is not really an
option... any help would be apreciated... thank you in advance

http://www.ntcompatible.com/thread22634-1.html is similar to yours. It
outlines the process someone went through to fix the error and eventually
find out that he/she had problems with a RAM module.

Well... i found part of my problem... it seems that ram slot b on my tecra is
having issues (i tested the ram and it works fine), but i think it was caused
by a software or operating system problem... but since its working i am happy
for now... i just wanted to share in case someone has similar problems..

And again, this doesn't work when you computer constantly maintains there is
no loaction or it can't find a location that will come up in your cmd window.
No matter how many fixes I have tried to find my help files, nothing works.
