Missing Message-Id on messages from Outlook 2003

The spam filter of the email server of a friend will not
deliver to him messages from me as the messages apparently
have no "message-id". I've done a little checking and
this apparently is true. I am told that section 3.6.4 of
RFC 2822 requires that messages SHOULD have a Message-ID
in their headers. I am using Outlook 2003. Why is this
happening? What can I do to get Outlook 2003 to provide a
message-id with my messages?

Thank you,

Kal

It means that a mail server is not attaching a message id to the item.
(2821/2822 deal with server to server communications. rfc 2476 covers
client to server communications and does cover that a client can submit a
message without a message id. when this happens, it is up to the server to
attach a message id.)

as for the last to have outlook 2003 attach a message id, you can't.
