Missing Icons

I recently had a hard drive melt down. I installed a new drive and
re-installed XP, but when I finished the install the only icon that appeared
on my desktop was the the Recycle Box. How do I restore the standard icons
for My Computer, Internet Explorer, etc?

Right click the Desktop > Properties > Customize Desktop, check the icons
you want to see and press OK > OK.
