Missing icons

Hi. The icons on my desktop that previously have its icon now appear
to have lose its icon and replaced by the "no icon" icon. This happens
only to *.lnk files in my start menu too.

The tasks running next to my clock is also gone. Then a window appear
and says windows cannot open those tasks e.g.

Please help me. Thanks.

I HATE it when it does that!!
