Missing Driver Installation

Joe

I just finished updating two home computers with Windows
XPHome. When I went to install my digital camera on my
newest machine via the USB hub connection it came up with
a message saying that it could not recognize the device
and there was no recognized driver. I attempted to
install the factory drivers to no avail. The
manufacturer (Pentax) said that Windows XP should
recognize it properly. The unique thing is that the
older machine which I also installed a new version of
Windows XP Home on does recognize the camera and does
have the right drivers.

Anyone know where I might be able to locate the correct
drivers on the OEM disk? Or does this require a complete
reload of XP since it may have missed the files during
initial loadup?

Thanks,

Joe

Joe, I'm having the same problem with XP not recognizing
my camera, however I have downloaded pictures many times
on this computer, the only thing I've done different is I
tried to install a webcam and after installing and
uninstalling it three times I took it back to Wal-Mart.
I'm wondering if I accidentally deleted a piece of a
system file I needed to download pictures. I know it is
not my camera because I downloaded them onto Olympus'
softeware, which subsequently locked up on me and I
unistalled it. Grrrr. let me know if you figure it out,
I'm thinking of restoring my whole thing to factory
settings.
