missing dll on start up

Hi,

I recently had to remove a coolweb search bug from my computer using
CWShredder, and followed it up with Adaware. Now when I start up my computer
I get the following message:

Error-38427
a valid dll file was not found, Windows is now deleting file.

I've tried restoring dll files that were quarantined in Adaware, and when I
restart, I get the same message

Now when I get online, and do a search, I get hung up when I click on any
link in the search preview area. I can click on links inside the main
screen, but once I click a link in the side window, nothing works right
after that. If I do not reboot, all of my programs take forever to open. If
I don't click on one of those search window links, all programs and browsing
seems to work fine.

How can I get that dll file back?
Any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi

Try executing this command sfc /scannow from a dos prompt. This will restore all the system files to originality. U need the original Windows XP CD to perform this operation. You might get back the missing dll after executing this command. Note that any updates performed to sfc will be reset and you will have to perform the updates agian
