Hi.. Here is my problem which has been going on for over 3 months with no end
in site.. Im a rookie for the most part when it comes to pcs. Anyway my
laptop
is guaranteed to freeze totally when it is plugged in...running on battery
alone will not freeze my pc ever.. Ive ran updated NAV, trojan
hunters...ad-aware.. spy sweeper and tonight trojan hunter which told me of
no found trojans but did tell me that "Diretory D:\ " was missing? My main
problem is with the constant freezing....Im seriously begging for help..
Thanks so much to anyone who can help me!

Try System File Checker

Start/Run, then enter 'sfc /scannow' with out the quotes and press OK.
Be prepared to put the XP CD in.

Ok well I tried doing what you said.. and it seems like all files are
intact...I also have a few running processes which Im unsure of ..
explorer.exe and in svchost.exe and what is avtapi.exe in startup? To the
freezing...someone mentioned in another thread (sorry for double posting.. I
only did it because Im new here and wasnt sure if I put a correct "subject")
to check the power brick..I forget where you check out things like this on
your pc but in a certain system info area it always tells me all system
hardware is working and have no problems'. The freezing of my laptop always
freezes when plugged in but the majority of the time it will freeze is
usually always not until the battery has reached between 83% and on ac/ power
and 'over' Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
