Missing Data Sources Tab

P

Phil

I am new to VB 2005 and SQL server Express.
I'm just going through some of the help pages.
I'm looking at the article entitled: "Getting the Information You Need:
Connecting to an Existing Database"
Step 4 says:
In Solution Explorer, click the Data Sources tab.

There is no Data Sources tab displayed in the Solution Explorer window!!
I have seen this tab before, so I'm wondering if I've somehow managed to
turn it off.
How do I get it back?

TIA
Phil.

Phil,

Did you already generate a datasource
(with aspnet it is AFAIK in the tools)

I created a database, is that the same thing?
I went through the previous help page' Creating Your First Database'.
(with aspnet it is AFAIK in the tools)
AFAIK I'm not using ASP.NET. Just VB 2005 and SQL server 2005 Express.

It's OK. I clicked on Reset Window Layout on the Windows menu, and it's come
back.
