Missing command interpreter

I think I picked up a virus somewhere that corrupted my
command interpreter. Whenever I boot my computer, I get a
prompt that says the following:
Enter correct name of command interpreter (e.g.
C:\COMMAND.COM).
If any one knows what I can do it would be appreciated.

Try going to run,type:Msconfig
In config see whats in the start up tab,and/or if boxes
are un-checked,chk for any other unusual entries.
