Mirror with software iSCSI initiator driver - Possible?

Hi,

I'm trying to create a mirrored iSCSI drive using
Microsoft's software iSCSI initiator driver. I can span or
stripe the volume on multiple disks over the iSCSI targets
but the Add Mirror option is grayed out. I made my tergets
persistent thinking that Windows needs to be assured that
the targets won't change. Didn't help.

I couldn't find any documentation on software mirror using
software initiators. Is it possible at all? How? Where is
it documented?

Thanks,
Zoli

The problem may be that your are running a non-server SKU, Professional or
Home edition. AddMirror is not enabled in these SKUs, you ,must have a
server edtition. Be aware that though you can convert iSCSI disks to
dynamic, we do not recommend or support this. The problem is that the iSCSI
intiator brings the dynamic disks online very late in the boot process.
Because of this, your disk may appear as offline after booting, or the
volume may be failed or failed redundancy, so you may need to reactivate the
disk and/or volume.
