Minolta 2300DL Network Printer Won't Print

I have tried many different ways but nothing works. With clean install and
XP upgrade with the existing working drivers. The printer icon says "Ready"
but nothing will actually print. The Add Printer wizzard cannot see any
network printers. I can ping printer and connect to the HTTP status page.
When I manually add port with IP address the printer seems to install OK. I
have also tried the Windows Vista Update 2430DL port drivers. It is just a
simple RAW write to port 9100. Sometimes the printer's icon would change to
having the image of two peoples faces but I am not sure what that means. I
have tried every option and no print.
Any ideas?

do you get the 2 jobs spooling in the queue view? I already sent the
Konica Minolta contact the stack trace on their failing drivers. Currently
they said they don't support Vista.

There is another ongoing issue with the drivers being available in Windows
Update. Not sure what's going to happen there.

......
Some configurations had that. Mostly it will pop-up message saying document
was sent to printer, the test page, and have some other thing in que. I am
thinking that something else is going on, like maybe firewall blocking. This
only requires a RAW write to port 9100. On the same machine I was able to
get this to work in Mandriva Linux. Talk about unsupported my Konica. The
Mandriva printer wizard saw the printer's IP address and I selected model
and it worked. Is it possible some security feature is blocking the network
printer wizard?

Thanks for your help,
Kent
