minimum hardweare reqs for good im video messaging using yahoo or msn messenger

a friend want to use her pc for yahoo messenger video based messaging
with granchild overseas

what is minimum ram, chip speed that she needs to do this effectively?

i am looking at a toshiba tecra with p3 750 mhz, chip and 512 ram,
running win98

will that suffice?
