"Minimize"

Well.. my game keeps minimizing after i have installed NAV
2003. Is there any compability issue with regard to using
NAV 2003? Or should i reinstall the game with the NAV 2003
being disabled? Does this set the precedent for future
installation of game application?

Hi,

When installing games, drivers, and other legitimate software
it's always recommended to disable or shut down your AV
software. They cause they type of problem you're experiencing

I don't use Symantec products for that exact reason, Casper. They seem to
get in the way when I don't want them intruding. There may be a setting
within NAV where you need to tell it not to bother with certain files,
because it will be checking files as they change on the hard drive. It is
doing its job, honestly. You might try turning off the real-time AV
scanning while you're playing the game.

In some cases you actually need to uninstall anything Symantec while
installing a new program. You may "think" you've got NAV shut down
(right-click icon in Systray, select Exit) but it (and ZoneAlarm is another)
continues to run hidden in the background. It is invasive, and hard to
stop. You could go to Start/Run and type in "msconfig" without the quotes,
then go to the Startup tab and remove all items related to NAV and restart
your system. That "might" kill it off until you're ready to start it again.

Hi Casper,

In your situation I would uninstall Norton's, and the game
which is minimizing, reboot, and then install the game again.
If the problem persists, then we know to look elsewhere,
such as direct x, chipset drivers, or video drivers for example.
