I can turn off window animation in Tweak.UI and the animation stops
immediately. Some application turns it back on at boot.

I can manually change minanimate to 0 at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Desktop\WindowMetric ,but the change is not
affected (I guess not until I reboot).

What does Tweak do that allows the change to take place immediately?
