Migrating old contact list

installed a new Hard drive with a clean install of WindowsXP. My old drive
is now my "D" drive and contains everything from my previous system. I've
done a fresh install of Office 2003 but can't seem to get my old contact list
from the old drive (same Outlook 2003 on both). Any suggestions?

What does "can't seem to get" mean? What have you tried?

Your old PST is most likely in D:\Documents and Settings\username\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

Use the File menu > Open > Outlook Data File to open the old PST file then
drag drop data from it into your current Personal Folders

May have left out 1 critical fact - my old drive was under Windows2000 Pro.
I can't seem to locate a PST file

Think I may have left out a critical piece of info - the old disk (now "D")
ran with win2000 pro, so file structure may not be quite the same as under
XP-home (current "C" drive)

Good call !!! Completely forgot about hidden files. Got my contacts list,
at least. Will have to find time to play with it to see if it transferred in
all its glory.

Much obliged, Vince. Kudos for your good insight.

It should be the same for Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Make sure you enable
viewing hidden files and folders and you may have to take ownership of the
old user folder.

SInce all Outlook data is stored in the same file, getting your Contacts
data means you got all the rest of it, too. By the way, DON'T import.
