Migrating from TD evaluation to licenced TD

Hello !

I have created a grea operating system using the evaluation copy of target
desiger.
Now I have purchased the licenced TD and want to build my final image - but
when building
I still see the 90 days warning - how can I port my design to the licenced
TD ??

Hi Carl,

1. Send complaint feedback to MS (just to add your vote to the pool).
2. Uninstall everything (Data base tools, all!) :-(
3. Install everything including your components and QFE's that were present.

Sadly this is the only way for now.

OK - not that bad if only I can use the .slx file I saved with the
evaluation TD - is that possible ??
In that case I hope to be sure that everything is working as with the
evaluation TD.

SLX and other files are same and can be used

Carl,

Make a backup copy of your SLX file first, and set TD to not automatically
upgrade the configuration, as when you reinstall the database, it will show
as newer versions. You will have to check the components one at a time, and
remember the settings you gave them. once you upgrade, it will take the
default settings of the newer component.

Also don't forget that once you have the non-evaluation copy of TD installed
you are going to need to take a PID off one of our COA stickers and put that
in the Settings/Run Time Licensing so your build won't expire.
