Migrated system - now get inaccessible boot device with Windows XP

After solving my "Inaccessible boot device" problems of a few days ago,
I bought a new system and am attempting to migrate the old RAID array to
the new motherboard, and am getting STOP code 0x7b (inaccessible boot
device) now. Some notes:

1) Migrating from an Intel D925XECV2 to Intel D945PVS motherboard. The
difference in the RAID controller is the former is an ICH6, the latter
is ICH7.

2) The device driver (iaStor.sys) for both motherboards is identical
(it's literally the same driver)

3) The D945PVS recognizes the RAID array from the 925 system and sees it
as good.

4) Performed a chkdsk /p - no errors

5) Attempting a repair install. Pressing F6 and feeding it iaStor.sys,
the XP boot CD is able to see the RAID array without incident, and all
of my other files on the partition.

6) After doing the repair install, Windows comes up with the horizontal
scrolling blue dots, then either reboots if I don't have the "pause on
system restart" option set, or stops with an 0x7b Inaccessible boot device.

7) Boot order is set to CDROM player first, then RAID1 array, and the
RAID 1 array comes up as drive C

8) Safe mode and debug mode yield the same problem (an automatic reboot)

9) The iaStor.sys file is on the hard disk and is OK

10) The HAL from the prior system was a multiprocessor HAL, and this
system is a dual core system (with an MP HAL, too)

11) There are no other devices in the system other than the motherboard
components (audio, 1394, LAN, etc...) and a video card (NVidia 7800 board).

Does anyone have any thoughts at all on this one on how to get this
system migrated? I really, really don't want to reinstall all of my
applications - that'll take days to get all straightened out again (I
did make a backup of the system just in case). Thanks,

-->Neil

Get a grip on yourself....Thiers no possible way to "migrate" a RAID array
from one board to another, even if the 2 brds are the same, let alone a 925
to a 945 chip set.Repair, forget it,only a clean install of xp will work.....

Okay, just tried that - fresh install onto this array. Gives me the SAME
ERROR. WTF Is up with XP, here? The only thing that's in the system is
the video card, and I'm using the motherboard's RAID driver, yet it
still gives me the inaccessible boot device problem. GRRRR! What's going
on, here?
