Microsoft Works Calendar

Am I in the right place with my query? If not, please point me in the right
direction.

I use the Works (V8) Calendar and find it useful. However, it seems to have
a mind of its own. Regularly I enter an item and find when I look later that
the entry is showing in duplicate or triplicate. I do not use the timed
appointments part of the programme (you will see that I'm from the UK), but
just a simple one-line entry is enough for what I need.

Would someone please tell me how these extra entries can be stopped. Am I at
fault is is the software?
