Microsoft word keeps pausing every 15 seconds

In the last couple of days I have noticed that when I am using Microsoft Word
it pauses (timer pops up) about every 15 seconds. Does anyone know why this
is happening or how to make it stop?

Hi-

You might staart by taking a look at Tools>Options-Save and see what type of
interval is set for AutoRecovery Info. Set it to a longer interval if
necessary.

Thanks for you reply. I did look at the autosave and it is set for 10
minutes. I am really confused as to why this is happening. It has just
recently started and I have not changed anything in my office programs.

Could it be that you hard drive is getting full or highly fragmented?
