microsoft word 2007

My Microsoft word freezes up all the time. I am usually right in the middle
of an important paper for school and then it loses my whole document......I
am really frustrated (I am running on Vista). Please help!!

You shouldn't lose the entire document unless it has never been saved. If
Word hangs, you should be offered an AutoRecovery backup the next time you
start Word. With the AutoRecovery interval set at 10 minutes, along with
frequent saves, you should never lose more than 10 minutes' work and often
less.
