Hi,
I keep getting runtime errors on certain programs (which have been installed
for ages). When I start my computer, everything works fine until I reach my
desktop when some of my system tray icons don't appear. The programs are
running in the background as I can see in Task Manager. Although the
computer is very slow to start up in the first place once logged on. It
rarely starts normally when I can see my normal icons in the bottom right.
My Norton anti-virus and firewall always start up without fail. When I log
off/ shut down, I get up to 2 errors eg.
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime error!
Program: C:\programfiles\wireless LAN Utility\TIWLANCu.exe
R6025
- Pure virtual function call
or... Symantec version
This has been going on for a while and no idea why! Really starting to bug
me now. I don't know if it's something wrong with the Microsoft Visual C++
library or something? Any way of fixing it? I have tried a program called
PCRescue but no luck, and it's not spyware or viruses.
I run XP Pro.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Adrian
