Microsoft server slow - one more try

P

Papa

This is my 3rd attempt to post this message.

I tried sending this post earlier, with no success. Also I have noticed that
quite a few posts have been removed from the server.

The msnews.Microsoft.com server seems to have slowed down dramatically over
the past few days. The other server I use is as fast as ever.

Could it be because of protective measures Microsoft may be taking against
the Swen crisis?

By the way, my system has not been infected because of defensive steps that
are already in place.

Comments, please.

Yes, as already stated in MANY of your posts, Microsoft has a problem with
their news servers. It works fine if you use the web viewer or news accress
provided by your ISP.

Sorry, Chris, but those MANY (3) posts of mine were a result of my
uncertainty as to what was going on. Usually msnews works just fine, and my
ISP (Earthlink) does not have a server that includes Microsoft newsgroups.
As for a web viewer, if you are suggesting using a web interface as a
newsreader rather than OE, no thanks.
