Microsoft script editor

Evan

ever since I installed the script editor I get a pop-up
box on various websites that says a run time error has
occurred do you wish to debug? I assume that this is
connected to Microsoft's Script editor in Word. How do I
disable this feature. Its making it hard to surf the web.

Hi Evan

This isn't a Word issue, or even an MS Script Error issue. It's a setting in
your browser. If you have Internet Explorer, try Tools > Options. Click the
Advanced Tab. Tick "Disable Script Debugging" and un-tick "Display a
notification about every script error". Different versions of Internet
Explorer might have slightly different versions or wording of the settings.

If you have any more trouble, I suggest you post a message to one of the
Internet Explorer news groups. Let them know what version of IE you have,
and what if any service packs are installed.

Hope this helps.
