Has anyone tried to use the microsoft presenter 3000 with vista and office
2007, I plug it into the USB and it downloads the driver, but then when I
open up a powerpoint slide show it wont change slides or move the mouse in
either mouse or presenter mode, but the laser pointer works on the handheld
unit?

Good to see the laser pointer is not software dependant! Guess the batteries
are good then.
MS tech specs says it should work out of box on Vista and 2007.

quote: Software Version No software required.
Note: Works with Microsoft Office PowerPoint® 2003 and PowerPoint 2007

Perhaps there's something else going on. Tried a restart and a different USB
port?

You would also need to sync up the transmitting end with the receiving end
if you have not done that already. There is a flushed button on both the
hand unit and the USB unit. Press the USB unit (receiver) first and then the
hand unit. See if this helps.

I have one that lasted about 4 weeks, working with XP. Used in in 2 training
sessions.

Then the 3rd use, it quit working and acts like yours. Only thing that
works is the pointer, and the timer. Won't do any thing in Powerpoint.

I have pushed every reset button on it like the "Expert" MVP suggested but
nothing changes.

About to toss it in the trash, while Microsoft might be the king of
software, they lack a lot when it comes to hardware.

Glad I did not buy the mouse with the presenter in it for $100.00. Only out
$40.00.
