Microsoft Paint Program

We have the Windows XP Home Edition, where the Microsoft Paint Program comes
pre-installed.
We cannot find it in the Start Accessories Menu. The only way I found it was
using the computers Search capability.
When I tried to open it, it would take several seconds for it to try to
load, then all I would see is the Tool bar at the top and a white screen
before I got the Send Error Report/Don't Send message.
Any advice or information would be appreciated.

- Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
- In the left pane, click "Add/Remove Windows Components"
- In the Windows Components Wizard that opens, highlight "Accessories
and Utilities" and click "Details."
- Highlight "Accessories" and click "Details."
- UNcheck Paint (it's at the bottom of the list)
- OK your way back to the Windows Components Wizard, click "Next" and
follow directions.
- If you are not specifically asked to reboot, do it anyway.

Now go back through the whole thing, this time checking the box for
Paint. Again, even if the Wizard doesn't tell you to reboot, do so anyway.

Report what happens.
