Microsoft Outlook SPAM / Junk Mail Protection Feature

Guest

I just used the Junk Mail feature in MS Outlook. I had upgraded from Office
XP and chosen the High Protection Level. Being a Microsoft Technologies
Platform Professional i would like to suggest some improvement in terms of
increasing the product's A.I. My suggestion is that be the user in any
protection level, the persons who have already sent the email to the user and
/ or the user have created a rule. those Email ID's should automatically be
treated in trusted domain. I am currently writing a small VBA macro to do the
same thing and automatically update the Safe User list.

I am just a beginner in Tech industry desipte having 6 years of exp. But i
would like to get your comments / suggestions over this.

You mean people you've sent mail to, not received mail from, don't you?

Outlook 2003 with SP1 already has that feature. Tools | Options | Junk E-mail | Safe Senders | Automatically add people I e-mail to the Safe Senders list.

No I meant exactly the other way around. I told earlier that i upgraded from
Outlook XP so there are lot of mails and lot of such SAFE Senders already in
my .PST file.

Think about it: If you receive any amount of spam at all, a lot of the senders of messages will be spoofed. You *do not* want Outlook to put all of senders of messages you receive into the safe senders list. Instead, right-click those you want to hear from and add them to your Contacts folder. Outlook will consider those safe senders by default.

Sue this point any dumbo in the community will undersatnd. But what i am
talking about is a little diffrent. You need to read my query again with more
concentration. What i am asking is that the users are already in my contact
list. they have already sent mails to me. and / or i have created the rules
for them in my outlook. because i already upgraded. So those users should
always be treated SAFE.

That's a good clarification of your original suggestion, which in fact made no mention whatsoever of existing email messages from which addresses could be pulled.
