microsoft office outlook is synchronizing folders - ??

I am getting the following message in my system tray:

microsoft office outlook is synchronizing folders

I am sure I never used to get it but I maybe wrong. I'm using Outlook 2003.

What is it doing?

Outlook 2003 holds a cache of all your emails. Even if you never configured
for offline folders. It is done automaticly in background. So everytime
Outlook is synchronizing your get this tray icon.
