Why do I keep getting the error (see subject) with my Outlook 2003?

I have completed all of the downloads/updates and still get it?

What error is logged to the Event Viewer?

Yes, that is the general error you see on the screen. There is a more
specific error code logged to your Event Viewer. Without that we can't help
you.

That looks like a DLL associated with WinFax Pro (dccmsp32). Are you
running WinFax Pro? If so disable the Outlook integration and see if
that helps. There may also be an update for your version of WinFax
that might work better for you. If not you will have to keep WinFax's
Outlook integration disabled.

I am using the latest greatest WinFax Pro for XP version 10.3. Symantec
shipped it to me for XP compatibliity.??

I'll look at symantec, to see if they have addressed this issue.

Thanks

Hi aatechnician,

I, too, get the identical error each time Outlook is closed. Have you been able to resolve? Thanks!

I have finally located the problem ... reviewed Outlook's Advanced Options for Add-In Manager and noticed "AVG Exchange Extension". After unchecking that item, Outlook now closes properly.

I suspect that Grisoft may have made a change to AVG some months ago. However, since I no longer need access to Exchange Server, that add-in is not necessary.

Thank you. With me it was the AVG Exchange Extension too. This has been going on for 6 months.
Thank you again.
