It is compatible. Outlook 2000 does require a minor copying of files.

Use Explorer to navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\System
Copy wab32.dll and wab32res.dll to C:\Windows\System32

What about the issue with Outlook where it cannot remember passwords, or
something like that?

.... and heaven forbid should you actually have e-mail addresses in Outlook
2K ... you will get an error message for _each_ one when attempting to open
Outlook.

Yes, it is. There are apparently a couple of relatively minor issues
in Outlook, but none of them appears to be a show stopper.

Word, Excel and Access work fine. However there's one quirk that may have to
do with Vista's file system/security. When you click a DOC file you get an
error message saying file not found but Word does start. However if you open
Word2000, navigate to the doc file and open it, all works fine. Maybe has to
do with Compatibiluty folders... not user.
