Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 SP1

Hi,

I have downloaded Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 SP1 from microsoft.com.
The download is completed successful but when I install it in my PC I
saw it says the word "downloading..." during installation is
processing.

I wonder if the download is not complete successful or anything else?

I would like to install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5 (x86) and I
already have Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 SP1 (x86) then it asked me
to install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 SP1.

During installation is processing it says downloading...

Could you please tell me the reason why or the download is not
completed or it need to download more components from its server over
the internet?

already have Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 SP1 (x86) then it asked me
to install Microsoft .Net Framework 3.0 SP1.

..NET Framework 3.5 includes the SP1 for .NET Framework 2.0 and 3.0,
see also "Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5" (excerpt)

I seem to remember that .NET Framework 1.1, 2.0 and 3.0 were offered to
me (optional) via MS Update.

Will 3.5 be offered in the same way?

via the MS Update site also.

Well, I was installing .NET Framework 3.5 last year right after the final
release via the posted weblink. That's pretty long ago and maybe someone
else who didn't install .NET Framework 3.5 yet may want to answer your
question.

You say that you also recall 1,2 and 3 plus SP's being offered by
Update but you installed 3.5 by link.

I have just had a look in Add/Remove and have the SP's for both 2.0 and
3.0, no sign of 3.5 though.

Perhaps it will be offered later.

I downloaded NET Framework 3.5 a couple of days ago. Just ran Belarc
Advisor (fully updated) and cannot see any reference to it.

All others show 1.0, 1.1, 2.0, 3.0 plus SP's.

1.1 appears under installed hot fixes and 2.0 and 3.0 show under
software versions

However, 3.5 DOES appear in Add/Remove programs.

Has anybody else noticed this? Or is 3.5 installed under another name?
