is microsoft comming out with a new driver for the sidewinder joystick for

I'm going to make a wild guess you are having a problem. I have the
sidewinder precision 2 joystick and it works fine. I had it plugged in,
during install and it loaded the needed drivers and off I went.

Is that the exact model you have? I seem to recall other people with older
models working, though I think there was a question around the force
feedback working
