Fax is not available via DSL. I used to use the fax console via my dial up
modem but it certainly doesn't work with DSL. Personally i opted for an
independent fax machine.

DSL does not have the 'fax modules." Get your self a standard analog modem,
which can "share" phone line signals, providing you connect it to a "DSL
Filter".

No help yet, but I need to know a little more. When you had cable and were
using FC (fax console), were the faxes still being sent over a normal phone
line with a dial tone? Or, were you using one of the web-based fax services?

Hi Yves,

Thanks for responding.

Right now I have a "high-end" Sony Vaio laptop with an internal modem....CXT
AC-Link Modem for Intel.

Searched the net, can't find out if it's analog or digital.

Anyway, it's in my computer (I used to build my own desktops) and still
trying to figure out how to do the config you mentioned.

Any more info?

Thanks,
Leslie
