I am still unable to retrieve my files from the
quarantine that are under investigation. Does this mean
I have lost my files for good? I have had the quarantine
opened for hours and they have not magically appeared as
I was told they may. What can I do now?
Please help me.

Wait a little longer or restore the data from your back-ups.
I have heard it may take a few hours but am uncertain how long it can
actually take.

We've seen reports here of this process taking hours. I doubt that any of
the forum regulars have actually experienced the issue. I've seen more than
one instance of the program taking a VERY long time to do some operation you
might expect to go much quicker.

That said, I don't know how to tell whether you have any prospect of
recovery or not.

We've noted that the files appear to simply be renamed, and, in the case of
MP3 files, for example, there should be utilities available which are
capable of finding title information in the files and renaming the files
according to that title information. I've yet to hear of someone actually
doing this, though--so maybe there's some major obstacle, but it seems like
a good thing to try, to me.
