Microsoft Antispy only working under one user account

I'm running XP Pro on my Celuron based machine. Everyone
in the family has there own sign in. When the new update
first came out we had problems get it to install we would
get the unexpected error message and then the errror 101
message to reinstall the software. We would get the
errors on install that the certian fills weren't linking
correctly or something like that and the program wouldn't
run. Finnally one day I noticed on my wifes sign in that
the program was running again. she stated that
apparently that there was another update and that it
finialy installed Great except when I signed off of her
account onto mine I came up with the unexpected error
message and antispy wouldn't start. It does it on all
other sign ins except my wife's. Soooo what is going on
here???? I know this is beta software but I have another
machine running pretty much the same software and Antispy
works fine on it and runs on every users account.
Thanks for any feed back Bill

You don`t say on which account MSAS was first installed.
What I can say is that when using MSAS on multiple
accounts it must always be installed/upgraded from the
account on which it was originally installed in its
present beta format. I think I am right in saying this
will be rectified in later beta - possibly beta2.

Hope this helps.

Check a number of groups for a message today or yesterday from Kevan
Brown--there is one in .install, subj: Build 615 Multiple Profiles Bug and
Fix........ for example.

I believe Kevan has the right information--I'm unclear what the
ramifications of applying his fix might be, but it may be worth trying, if
you are comfortable with the registry editing involved.

Otherwise, as Stu says--beta2 should at least give clear guideance about
what should and what shouldn't work, in terms of multiple users and
administrators versus limited users.

this MSAS beta 1 does not support Multiple User
Account/limited account. this application need
Administrator Account in order to work.

the only way to avoid the error message is to restart and
log in to your account. logging off then logging in will
result on error message.

Beta 2 should fix this problem. as i heard on this
newsgroup.

If you install MSAS beta 1 on the administrator account
it will install to every account you have. you do not
need to install it to every account
