Microsoft Anti Spyware

All of a sudden when I try to manually update I am
getting an error saying "warning could not connect to the
internet." This has just started happening a few days ago
and I don't know what to do. Any help would be
appreciate, thanks in advance! :)

Hello Leonardo

Open Internet Explorer, click File and ensure that Work
Offline is not checked.

It is not checked...I did think of something though that
I probably should have mentioned before...lol...I used to
have Net Zero Dial up, and I just switched to Verizon
DSL. DUH me lol, I'm assuming that is the problem...but I
don't know why though...

It's very unlikely your DSL is the problem unless you can't connect to the
internet with other programs (like Internet Explorer).

Read this and try this fix:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/892350

Another item to try is:

-Open Internet Explorer
-Open "Tools", "Internet Options" , "Connections", "LAN settings"
-Check the box for "Automatically detect settings"

(There is a similar setting for a dial-up modem, if you use dial-up)

THANK YOU SO MUCH!
The second thing you said worked. To check the box to
automatically check lan settings. Updates work now,
thanks! : )

In the interests of knowledge about this problem, would you now try
reversing the fix, by unchecking this box, and clicking OK all the way out.
Then test MSAS updates to see if they still remain working, and report back.
Thanks!

Actually after checking it, I then did the update and it
worked. After that I did uncheck it, and then tried
again, and guess what it still worked! lol. So to answer
your question, yes it still worked after un-checking it.
