Microsoft anti spyware beta. Submit report to Spynet

I cant submit. It says to check my Proxy settings and try again.
When I view what scan results it says:

"The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and
then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

WHat does any of this mean? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but end up
with exactly the same Beta, complete with the same log and record. My release
notes tell me there should be a repair option in Add/Remove progs but there
isnt!

The submission issue is a bug in beta1. This will be fixed in beta2, but we
don't have a workaround for beta1.

The XML issue has been posted before--and I'm reasonably sure that the
developers are aware of this issue as well--I believe that localization,
among other issues, should help avoid this one.

Thanks for posting this, and I'm sorry I don't have any better advice to
offer.

The repair option is hidden:

start, control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware

"click here for support info" link

Repair.

bill,

thank you for the reply. At least I know why now.
As for the repair in Add Remove progs I have now found that. I also have
found the Change Remove option, which I swear to God was not there earlier,
so maybe uninstalling and reinstalling did do something. All I had previously
was a button telling me how often the program had been used etc.

Incidentally, my Beta threw up another anomaly.
In Raal time protection/Internet Agents/Internet Events, it says there is
one where I " decided to allow the trusted site 139mm.com to Internet
Explorer." As far as I am aware I did not do this. The site appears to be a
chinese one. Ive been to my Trusted Sites in IE and it is not there. (I have
no Trusted Sites in IE). What made the Beta put in this entry? And if it was
an accident on my part, how do I reverse the "decided to allow.?"

That's interesting--the appearances in add or remove. There are a lot more
installation issues with this program than I'd like, but that's another area
that will likely be very different in beta2. (sounding like a broken
record...)
