Microsoft Access is unable to load the database properties.

When I try to look at the properties of my DB, I get an Access error message
containing the following message:
Microsoft Access is unable to load the database properties.

It doesn't matter whether I use the File/Database Properties menu or a
right-click in the Objects area and select Database Properties. Any idea why
or more importantly how to fix this?

Thanks,
KumbiaKid

Your database is almost surely corrupt - probably with damaged System tables.

Try creating a new empty database and using File... Get External Data...
Import to import whatever is salvagable from this one. And... keep good
backups. They're not optional!

There's a lot of information about database corruption out on the web. One
good site is http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/corruptmdbs.htm

Thanks John. I do back up religiously, but until now didn't suspect there was
any corruption since everything else seems to work. I've taken your advice
regarding imprting everything into a new DB anyway, just in case, and the
properties display just fine now. Thanks again.
