Messenger NOT in Contacts anymore

"OE = Outlook Express"

I actually like seeing the list of MSN Messenger contacts
in my OE contacts list while OE is open.

I removed Windows Messenger 4.7 because I like the
options of MSN Messenger 6.2 better.

Now, my Messenger contacts don't show in OE contacts. I
have to have MSN Messenger open to see who is online.

Anybody know how to fix it?

I removed OE and reinstalled it.

Greetings Ken,

Unfortunately there's nothing to fix here -- by design MSN Messenger does not integrate with
Outlook Express and there is no way to restore this functionality.

If you want to have this functionality specifically, you'll need to reinstall Windows
Messenger and use that instead.

MSN Messenger has intergrated with OE in the past.
Is it just the new version that does not integrate with
OE?
Windows Messenger has features missing, that I like in
MSN Messenger.

Hi Ken,

MSN Messenger has never integrated on Windows XP, only Windows Messenger has and continues
to.

If you use another version of Windows other then XP, MSN Messenger will integrate into
Outlook Express fine.

I agree with Ken. It was handy and nice. Surely someone can
come up with a simple fix for this. Can you tell us why
this handy hook has disappeared?
