Messenger auto disconnected

Hi all,

I don't like messenger, but it's useful, so i'm using it only for few
days...

Why, once connected, it disconnect itself without my interaction?
Is there a registry key to edit to avoid that?

I also have the same question. How can you keep the msg. from constantly
disconnecting and you have to re-log in.
