Messenger 6.0 & Outlook Express

Howdy-

I downloaded MSN Explorer 8.0 & MSN Messenger 6.0 today,
but now when I open Outlook Express it doesn't show my
online contacts in the lower left hand of the window as
it did with the older version. When I go to Tools,
Windows Messenger and try to log on nothing happens. The
only other thing I can click on is Options and all the
info. there is blank. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

I think...
It's Windows Messenger that integrates with Outlook Express and shows your
online contacts in that window.
It is possible to run MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger as well but with
different Passports for each one.
Quite handy if you have 2 aliases that you need to use at the same time.

Do you have short cuts for MSN Messenger and Windows Messenger in your Start
menu?
If you do try openeing Windows Messenger that should do it.

If I remember correctly I think Windows Messenger comes 'inbuilt' with
WinXP/2000 but MSN Messenger is a seperate download.

In you want Windows Messenger to start the Outlook Express does.....
Tools -> Options
If you tick the 'Automatically Log onto Windows Messenger' that should start
Win Msngr when OE starts up and log you and thus give you your online
contacts.

That all works for me anyways...
