I think ohgeeJJ is having a problem just logging into their system, not
Microsoft Access per se.

ohgeeJJ: Wrong newsgroup.

My fault. My tiny brain is tuned to Microsoft Access in this so-named
newsgroup <g>

Chris,

What is your problem? Are you jealous that Jeff was awarded MVP? You ought
to be ashamed for your continued immature attacks on Jeff. Did you not read
the disclaimer notice at the bottom of his web page? It includes the
following:

** Disclaimer: CSD makes no claim to the accuracy of any of these reported
services. CSD has never used any of these products and makes no claim to
their validity. The tools mentioned, to the best of our knowledge, do not
reconstruct any VBA code. They simply allow one to import the forms and
reports, sans VBA, so that one doesn't need to spend the time reconstructing
these objects. But, with a good image of a form or report, any competent
developer can reconstruct the appearance of a form or report in a new project
anyway. User assumes any and all legal responsibilities in using those
services.

Oh, I see. It includes "any competent developer", which obviously rules you
out. Take your attacks and sarcasm elsewhere!

Whether it was your kid ot just a sob story, people like Jeff Conrad MVP have
no scruples WHATEVER in supplying cracking software to the "needy".
See:

Never mind the nominal subject heading, you will find most all security
cracking tools here, at or via Jeff Conrad's site.

I'm very well aware of the target sites for the links on Jeff's page. In
fact, I knew about most of them before Jeff even created his web site.

You can add my name to the list of endorsees.

For the cracking of most MS-Access security (Database passwords, User-level
security, MDE's, Encryption) follow the links here on Jeff Conrad's website:

This link is endorsed by Jeff Conrad, Tony Toews, and Lynn Trapp, MVP's.

You can add my name to the list of endorsees.I was trying to limit myself to those who matter, or who have made significant
contributions to this newsgroup. I can't find a recent post where you have
attempted to assist a poster's question? But at least you don't hide behind
anonymity, unlike some.

Furthermore, I was promoting a site or sites you also wish to promote (or
endorse). I have no idea why you would object to me doing so too. My posts are
carefully checked for accuracy (though I appreciate being corrected where
necessary).

Tom Wickerath has posted in this newsgroup, that the site
www.lostpassword.com
sells password cracking tools (at some cost) which appear to have some
similarity to the cracking provided by
www.qbuilt.com

This information is kindly supplied to me by Tom Wickerath.

You will find the high majority of my posts in microsoft.public.access

http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.access&exp=1

if you are looking. 585 posts since 2/20/05 counts in my book for helping
others, even if you subtract a few here and there. A couple thousand posts
prior to that date, when I was using Outlook Express instead of the web
portal.
Furthermore, I was promoting a site or sites you also wish to promote (or
endorse). I have no idea why you would object to me doing so too.

My objection is to your continued personal attacks on friends of mine. You
wrote:
"...people like Jeff Conrad MVP have no scruples WHATEVER in ...". I know
Jeff personally. I can assure you he is of the highest moral character.

You will find the high majority of my posts in microsoft.public.accessYes. The subject here is security.
My objection is to your continued personal attacks on friends of mine.

What personal attacks? I am merely repeating information supplied. You must be
paranoid or have a problem to consider that in some way to be a "personal
attack". You have "authorised" the information I merely repeat, have you not?

Providing links to cracking sites is indeed, according to your own words, "of
the highest moral character".

Perhaps the topic of this newsgroup would be more aptly named Insecurity.
What personal attacks? I am merely repeating information supplied.
You are not merely repeating information when you make statements like:

"...people like Jeff Conrad MVP have no scruples WHATEVER in ..."

What about your post from July 15?
http://groups.google.com/group/micr..._frm/thread/895a40c255de9d28/8118a33877c7195c

Many of your peers are not on your side of the fence!

BTW,

the original poster's Windows security problem could have been easily answered
via google pop-up ads on the links provided by Jeff Conrad. Now, of course,
that is hardly the fault of Jeff Conrad nor the sites he links to. EXCEPT,
google determined I was browsing security issues.

I post this in the interests of EVERYONE knowing EVERYTHING, as you have made
perfectly clear is O-f-K.

I don't think you know what you think. About MS-Access security and the
implementation thereof.

The same applies to Tony Toews and Lynn Trapp. Jeff Conrad already made it
clear that he hadn't really thought about it.
Perhaps the topic of this newsgroup would be more aptly named Insecurity.
I can hardly argue with that.
You are not merely repeating information when you make statements like:

"...people like Jeff Conrad MVP have no scruples WHATEVER in ..."
He said so and indicated so. In posting that stuff.
Update: My complaint to the Microsoft MVP program about Jeff Conrad was duly
processed by them. I did not ask that Jeff be removed as an MVP (nothing like
that, which I made clear to them). It may be just coincidence that Jeff's
disclaimer "I am not responsible for my actions" appeared a day or two after.
The MVP Global Administrator wrote me:
"
As for a resolution, your complaint was duly noted, and will be
considered when it comes time for his re-approval process to begin. The
MVP program doesn't dictate the behavior of the MVP, however, we expect
MVPs be courteous, professional, and adhere to the Microsoft Communities
rules of conduct
"
(the previous communication, was along the lines that Jeff's MVP Lead would
have a talk with him)

I do not propose, at this time, to oppose Jeff Conrad remaining an MVP. But
Microsoft certainly expressed some concern about the subject matter.

I don't think you know what you think.
Huh? Say again. Actually, don't bother trying to explain, because I'm
finished with this thread.
The same applies to Tony Toews and Lynn Trapp. Jeff Conrad already made it
clear that he hadn't really thought about it.
In some of the other threads that I found in a Google advanced search, you
provided a link to Jeff's web site without adding any derogatory comments.
Therefore, I think you should add your own name to the list of endorsees.
That is, if you're not trying to limit yourself "to those who matter."
But Microsoft certainly expressed some concern about the subject matter.
That may have been their answer to you--to get you to buzz off--but I
seriously doubt that anyone at Microsoft expressed any concern to Jeff or his
MVP Lead.
