messages stuck in outbox

Answered several times a day....

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista

A recent version of the Trend antivirus (details not available) also causes
problems
in Windows Mail. For some other antivirus programs, enabling email scanning
at
all causes problems. By the way, what antivirus program do you have?

Have you tried both the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version of this fix?
One will
refuse to install, depending on which version of Windows you have. The
32-bit
version is more likely to install, so try it first. Download and install
the fix with
Windows Mail not running.

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders.

If this doesn't work, what if any error messages do you get when you
try to send a message? Show the entire error message.

What email provider are you using (probably your internet provider
also)?

windows mail - vista home premium 32. since yesterday, all the messages i
send stay in my outbox. can't delete or move them, can't even view some of
them. from phoning recipients, i think the messages have actually gone. found
a download on microsoft technical help which has allowed me delete some from
the outbox but hasn't fixed the problem - new messages i write still stay in
the outbox. incoming mail is fine. my anti-virus doesn't scan outgoing and i
haven't got any norton or mcafee on my pc. i'm not a hugely experienced user
and i'm stuck now. HELP

I figured it out and it is easy.
In Windows Mail click View, then Layout, then Local
Folders, then Outbox . Then delete each unsent email in the outbox.
So simple. They are GONE!!!

Hours of on-phone tech help still left me with the unsent emails in my
Outbox so I figured this out myself and it works.,.
