I am having trouble with messages staying in the outbox.
1. I have already triple-checked the smtp server name, and have
username and password set up properly for authentication.
2. Messages will go out from my workplace through an smtp server that
does not require authentication (but can't be accessed away from work)
3. My other computer sends fine through the same DSL hookup to the same
smtp server
4. I can send through Outlook Express with the same settings
Odd thing...in the account setup, the "Test Account Settings" button
works! The test message goes out, and comes back in shortly
thereafter...headers show that it did indeed get passed through a
couple servers and sent back into my inbox.
Even though test message works, normal messages just sit in the outbox.
I have already done a full uninstall, + clean the registry, +reinstall
Office 2003. Same problem.
Here is the error message:
Task 'pop.sbcglobal.yahoo.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC0F) :
'The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem
continues, contact your server administrator or Internet service
provider (ISP).'
