Messages I send are not being saved to my Sent Items Folder

The messages are not being saved even though I have checked the box under
email options that says I want sent items to be saved in my sent items folder.
I have Outlook 2003.

Are they showing up in your Deleted Items Folder? Are you filtering your Sent
Items folder view? Where do your sent emails go instead when you send them?
Do you have rules in place that might move them elsewhere?
