Message storage files and folders

Running Windows Mail under Windows Vista. In OE, folders of messages were
stored as .dbx files in Identity/Microsoft/Outlook express. Rlght click on a
mssage folder/properties gave th path to the message store folder. Not so
for Windows Mail.

Where, and in what file type, are Windows Mail messages stored?

I have the same question for Address Book.

In various file types, such as .eml and .nws. For the directory name, click
on Tools, then Options, then Advanced, then Maimtenance, then Store
Folder. Record the directory name, then click on Cancel, then Close,
then Cancel again. Note that when you want to look inside this folder,
you have to enable showing hidden and system files first.
