Message Properties

In Outlook Express, you can right-click on a message then left-click on
PROPERTIES to see what e-mail program the sender used and such. Why doesn't
Outlook 2003 do this? Is there a way to get the info?

If in the Inbox, right-click on the subject of the message and choose
Options. If in a reading window (i.e., the message is open), click
View>Options.

That brings up the Message Options window. It doesn't tell me what the
e-mail program the sender used.

It isn't the same, there is no property listing when right-clicking on a
message.

Choose Options and scroll through the Header of the message.

Well, it shows all the Internet headers that were on the message, which is
what I thought you wanted.

I don't know what I was doing earlier, but now it works fine. The Internet
headers window at the bottom of Message Options was blanked out. Nothing
was there. Now it works fine. Weird.

Thanks,

I guess I was doing something wrong earlier. That works just fine.

I was doing nothing wrong! All of the messages I imported have no Internet
headers for some reason. I guess they were removed during the import
process.

Because they were imported which is not equal to sending a message over the
Internet and therefore it doesn't get an Internet Header. An export from OE
to Outlook may preserve the headers though; I can't verify this at the
moment.

Also, why are the headers to my messages not saved or viewable when I go to
OPTIONS for e-mails I have sent?

Thanks,

I didn't think of that. But it doesn't say what my e-mail program is which
it should know though.

Thanks,
