Message on Outlook 2003 - SendReceive error

C

Chattybird

From time to time I am unable to send or receive messages in Outlook 2003.
Sometimes I can correct this by switching off and rebooting, sometimes not.
Most often the problem seems to right itself in a couple of days. No other
problems that could be causing it as far as I know - can still access the
internet and do everything else as normal. I manage by accessing and sending
mail with BT Yahoo; this is normally OK - if a bit tedious - but this time
Outlook keeps telling me I have 40 unread messages and I can't access them.
It's as if they have got stuck somewhere in limbo en route from Yahoo to
Outlook. I'm worried there might be something important in there.

You're using POP3 to get the yahoo mail? It may be something with their
pop3 access, or if the computer is not rebooted daily or outlook not
restarted, its losing the authentication and stalls.
