Message in outbox never sends & locks up outlook

I have a mail message in the Outlook 2000 outbox that will not send and it
ties up the Mapisp32.exe process which locks up Outlook 2000. I can't delete
the message because the Mapisp32.exe process is busy trying to send it. How
do I get out of this situation???
I have redirected my e-mail to a Yahoo address in order to be able to
receive e-mail

Assuming Outlook 200 is in CW mode:

- go to the Control Panel > Mail applet
- create a new profile that only has the Personal Folder service in it
that
accesses your normal PST file
- start Outlook with that profile. You can use a command line like
this:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Outlook.exe" /profile "No
Transports"
["No Transports" is the name you gave the profile - pick your own]
- Outlook should spit up any half delivered messages/faxes as
Undeliverable
- Quit Outlook
- Restart Outlook normally
