Merging Outlook 2000 PST Files

Guest

Hello,

I have a situation on our network where some users have multiple PST files,
and I would like to merge these, I am aware of the method of opening both
PSTs and copying the emails over, however I would like to know if there is
any automated way of doing this at all, preferably through scripting, as due
to the number of users in this situation, it would not be practical to go and
open every PST file and copy the emails in to one,

If anyone can assist here, it would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers,

Hi Colin,

I suggest use Import function in Outlook to merge two PST files, it will be
much safer.

-- Open PST file A in current profile
-- Select File/"Import and Export"/"Import from another file or
program"/PST file, and then locate to PST file B
-- Import the content in PST B to PST A, so we have done the merge process.

Frankly speaking, I do not know any other third-party utility that can
merge PST files. However, maybe we would have some programmatically method
to customize such a utility. The general idea is to loop all PST files in a
folder and then merge them in one outcome PST file. If you are interested
in it, you are advised to query in Develop newsgroup for more information.

Or you may ask for developer support:

Hope the info helps.
