Merging/combining projects

I am using Movie Maker v2.1.4 and have created several "projects". Now I
would like to merge these projects into one project then in the end create a
movie. Is there a way to do this. So far the only way I've been able to
accomplish this is to turn all the projects, except the first one, into
individual movies then import the "mini movies" into the first project using
the "import video" command.
